Ignore the tag size. Check the measurements.
A vintage Large from 1994 fits nothing like a Large today, so every listing has real measurements taken with the piece laid flat.
- Pit to pit: straight across the chest, armpit seam to armpit seam. Double it for the full chest.
- Length: from the top of the collar where it meets the shoulder, straight down to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve (jackets and long sleeves): shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
Easiest way to find your size
Grab a shirt you already love, lay it flat, and measure it the same way. If the numbers are within about an inch, you're good.
